Who is Declan, Parker?

Declan Parker is the Musical Moniker for Kyle Brady, who was born in Atlanta, the third child to two older siblings, and the only boy in the family. With two workaholic parents, he was often left to his own devices. Initially, this led to a love of video games, but everything changed when he discovered music.

After a sudden move from South Florida to Arizona, Kyle took up interest in music. Starting on the drums, until attempting guitar just to quit as quickly as he began.

When he turned 15, his love of alternative pop artists was born. He started listening to bands like Bastille, Twenty One Pilots, The Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, MGMT and many more.

All this pop and rock influence led him to "borrow" his sister's Ukelele as he began transcribing the first few songs of his musical journey. He still remembers the awe at hearing his favorite tunes come alive in his own hands.

It wasn't until seeing Back To The Future did he have any interest in guitar. This moment, along with hearing Eric Clapton's Layla were ample enough inspiration to start playing guitar for hours a day. His obsession had grown deep roots.

By the time he was 19, he had been playing for 2 years and was studying at Arizona State University, where he would join his first band as Lead Guitarist.

He gained his first live-band experiences playing local venues and writing new songs. Notably, he was fortunate enough to open for Guns n' Roses parent band, LA Guns.

At this point, he knew that ASU was not for him, and that he would much rather be studying music. His guitar teacher of many years, Charge Michael, was a graduate of Berklee College of Music and recommended the school to those with the drive to commit to it. Charge, and many other close musical mentors and Berklee graduates all pushed him to audition.

During his time at Berklee, he honed his writing and producing skills all the while playing guitar for many talented friends and artists such as Vivi Rincon, Nia Ashleigh, Fifteen0Eight and many more. Berklee is also where he met crucial collaborator close friend Varsha Krishnamoorthy, who would help him bring his drafted idea for his debut song "Spellbound" to life.

Kyle now lives in Nashvile, TN with his girlfriend and chihuahua, writing new songs, playing in bands and working on his debut EP.
